IND‘Will reject three-language policy if INDIA voted to power in 2026’

The INDIA alliance here would reject the three language policy being pushed by the NDA’s National Education Policy (NEP) if it gets the people’s mandate in the 2026 Assembly elections, Congress leader and former Chief Minister V. Narayanasamy said on Sunday.

At a press conference, he said while the Congress-DMK government had stopped the NDA from implementing the policy in the Union Territory and retaining Tamil as the mother tongue and English as link language, the ruling AINCR-BJP regime was “subserviently toeing the Central line on imposing Hindi through the NEP”.

Condemning Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for withholding ₹2,140 crore eligible to Tamil Nadu under the PM SHRI Scheme for not complying with the three-language system, he lauded Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin for standing his ground on the issue and covering the deficit with an allocation in the State Budget.
