Madras High Court Judge Justice P. Vadamalai on Sunday inaugurated a new multi-speciality block of VGM Hospital in Coimbatore. The hospital has expanded its services to include liver and kidney transplantation, cardiology with a cath lab, a dedicated liver ICU, a dialysis centre and interventional radiology with the new 150-bedded block.
Har Sahay Meena, Principal Secretary and Commissioner of the Archive and Historical Research; G. Prakash, Principal Secretary, Human Resources Management Department; K. Veera Raghava Rao, Secretary, Labour Welfare and Skill Development Department, K. Narayanasamy, Vice-Chancellor, Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University spoke. Founder and Chairman of the hospital V.G. Mohan Prasad said that the first block was built in 2009 with a focus on gastro care and it was expanded after eight years. The new multi-speciality block will serve more patients with the latest medical technologies, he said.
