A bike rider and an autorickshaw passenger were hospitalised with injuries after multiple collisions involving five vehicles at Toshiba Junction near Kalamassery on Seaport-Airport Road on Saturday evening (March 15).
The accident occurred after a person driving an electric car reportedly suffered physical discomfort, following which the car ran over the median and rammed another car and a bike coming from the opposite side. An SUV and an autorickshaw from the opposite direction reportedly hit the other vehicles that were involved in the crash.
The bike rider sustained injuries in a fall after he was thrown off the vehicle in the impact of the collision. While people from the locality helped clear a couple of vehicles from the road, a crane had to be brought in to tow away two of the four-wheelers.
