Traffic policemen in Madurai to get buttermilk or lemon juice during summer

With the atmospheric temperature suddenly rising, Madurai City Police have started distributing buttermilk to traffic policemen to beat the heat. Commissioner of Police J. Loganathan formally inaugurated the distribution by offering buttermilk to the traffic policemen near Periyar Bus Stand.

The traffic policemen were also given solar hats and cooling glasses to stay safe under the scorching sun. The police would get one glass of buttermilk or lemon juice at noon and in the afternoon till June. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) S. Vanitha and Additional Deputy Commissioner (Traffic – Planning) A. Thirumalaikumar were present.
