Members of Visakhapatnam Apartment Resident Welfare Association (VARWA) and Federation of Greater Visakhapatnam Colony Association (NIVAS) have decided to send representations to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, requesting him to review the property tax, which was promised by the NDA before the elections. The decision was taken during a meeting of the Madhurawada Zone Committee at Bakkannapalem here on Sunday (March 16).
Around 25-30 members of the associations discussed the ongoing civic issues in the city. They have also decided not to allow installation of Smart Meters in apartments and individual houses. They have also decided to meet the the zonal commissioners of the municipal corporation and submit a representation regarding issues such potholes, poor drainage system and lack of streetlights.
