World'Questions remain unanswered': Four babies found dead in US woman's freezer - Times of India

NEW DELHI: No charges were pressed against a 69-year-old woman Alexis Aldamir after four infants were found dead in her Boston apartment‘s freezer in 2022.
Suffolk District Attorney Kevin Hayden announced this judgment citing the complexity and perplexing nature of the case. He said that many questions remained unanswered after the investigation was concluded.”This investigation, which is one of the most complex, unusual and perplexing that this office has ever encountered, is now complete. While we have some answers, there are many elements of this case that will likely never be answered,” said Hayden.
The district attorney acknowledged that the exact circumstances surrounding the births and deaths of the babies may never be known. “We will never know exactly where or when the four babies found in Alexis Aldamir’s apartment were born. We will never know if the four babies were born alive, and we will never know exactly what happened to them. We will never know how Alexis Aldamir concealed her pregnancies, or why she chose to do so,” Hayden explained.
The four babies, two male and two female, were found frozen solid in shoe boxes wrapped in foil. DNA tests confirmed that the infants were siblings, and further testing identified their likely father as a man who passed away in 2011. Investigators also found that the woman had five children with the babies’ father, with one child being put up for adoption. Only one birth record was found for the woman.
The medical examiner was unable to determine the cause of death or whether the babies were born alive. Additionally, there was no scientific method to establish how long they had been frozen. The mother, who is currently in a health-care facility, appeared confused and lacked understanding during questioning by investigators.
