Protest against alleged attack on religious procession in Rayachoti

The members of Viswa Hindu Parishad, Tirupati District, staged a protest at Annamayya Circle on Monday demanding suspension of Rayachoti Sub-Inspector, who has reportedly filed cases only on the Hindus while the clash was between two religious groups during a procession in Parveta Utsav of Sri Veerabhadra Swamy in Kadapa Rayachoti last week.

Viswa Hindu Parishad Tirupati District president Sudhakar Babu claimed that this was not the first time that Hindus were attacked. “It is very sad to know that police officials are showing partiality in filing of cases. During the procession of Veerabhadra Swamy in Rayachoti, miscreants of another religion have attacked the Hindus.”

“Earlier also, a few persons from the other religion attacked a group of Hindu people going to Ayyappa Swamy Yatra from Rayachoti. We seriously condemn the continuous attacks on Hindu people,” he said.
