Founder president of the Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS), Manda Krishna Madiga lashed out at the State government for attempting to fill jobs without completing the SC sub-classification process. He questioned the fairness of this move, asking how jobs can be filled without classifying SCs into sub-categories, which would result in significant losses for the Madiga community. He demanded that the State government withhold the filling process until the SC sub-classification is completed.

Addressing a press conference at the Press Club in Somajiguda on Sunday, Krishna Madiga alleged that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is working under pressure from the Mala community to fill jobs and benefit Malas before the classification takes place.

Krishna Madiga claimed that the government’s actions are unfair to the Scheduled Caste (SC) community, particularly the Madigas, who are suffering severely due to unemployment. The MRPS leader pointed out that the Chief Minister had promised to fill jobs according to sub-classification but is now announcing results for various recruitment exams, including Group 1 and 2, without completing the process.

He demanded that the government stop the recruitment process until the Classification Act is passed. He also said that chairman of the one-man commission appointed to study the SC sub-classification issue, Shameem Akhtar, had not met with Madiga MLAs to seek their opinions on the issue. He alleged that there are many errors in Akhtar’s report, which will harm the Madiga community’s interests.

The MRPS has called for indefinite protests and deekshyas in all districts and mandal centres until the classification law is passed. Krishna Madiga urged all associations supporting classification, including political parties, to join the protests. He also demanded the resignation of Revanth Reddy for his inability to protect the interests of Malas.
