Former first lady Melania Trump, revealing her son Barron Trump’s college life living situation, said that he was staying at the family’s longtime Trump Tower residence on Fifth Avenue, while attending New York University, adding that it was his decision to “live in his home”.
“I could not say I’m an empty nester. I don’t feel that way. It was his decision to come here, that he wants to be in New York and study in New York and live in his home, and I respect that, Melania Trump said in an interview with Fox & Friends’ Ainsley Earhardt, that aired on Thursday.
This arrangement likely means that the young college student was making the short journey south to NYU’s Greenwich Village campus for his classes, The HuffPost reported.
“He’s enjoying his college days,” Melania said, speaking fondly of her son’s college experience. “I hope he will have a great experience because his life is very different than any other 18, 19-year-old child,” she added.
She further commended her son’s “strength, his intelligence, his knowledge, his kindness.” During the interview, Melania also raised eyebrows by describing her husband as a “family man.”
Barron Trump is the youngest son of former President Donald Trump and his only child with Melania Trump, graduated from Oxbridge Academy in West Palm Beach, Florida, in May before starting his studies at NYU’s Stern School of Business in early September.
Former US President Donald Trump, an alumnus of the University of Pennsylvania, recently confirmed that his son has chosen to attend New York University (NYU). Three of his other four children also attended the University of Pennsylvania.
“He’s a very smart guy, and he’ll be going to Stern Business School, which is a great school at NYU,” the Republican nominee told Daily Mail.
“He’s a very high-aptitude child, but he’s no longer a child. He’s just passed into something beyond child-dom,” he added.
