WorldMeghan Markle's 'most bullied person in the world' remark sparks debate - Times of India

Meghan Markle recently expressed her struggles with online bullying during a visit to Girls Inc. of Greater Santa Barbara to take part in a just-launched digital wellness program called Social Media U.
According to the founder of a teen advocacy group Girls Inc., the Duchess of Sussex described herself as “one of the most bullied people in the world”.
Suits star participated in a screen-free event with Girls Inc.CEO Stephanie J. Hull and #HalfTheStory founder Larissa May. During the event, they engaged in activities that led to discussions on emotional impacts related to social media scenarios.
In an interview with Vanity Fair published on Friday, May said that Meghan shared her feelings about being “one of the most bullied people in the world” during an activity that explored various scenarios.
“We had the girls wave little emoji signs to discuss how each scenario affected them emotionally,” May explained. “Along with Stephanie and Meghan, we discussed what it truly means to grow up in this digital age.”
However, sources confirmed to The Post that the Duchess of Sussex “talked about her experience with online bullying but never claimed she was the most bullied person in the world.”
Markle’s alleged remarks have sparked a debate, as many view her statement as potentially overshadowing the struggles of countless others who in reality face bullying.
The expansion of Social Media U will be funded by Meghan and Prince Harry’s Archewell Foundation, along with the Oprah Winfrey Charitable Foundation and Melissa French Gates’ Pivotal Ventures.
As both Markle and Prince Harry continue to pursue philanthropic activities, including Harry’s recent involvement with WellChild and Sentebale, their efforts reflect a commitment to fostering positive change in the lives of young individuals grappling with the complexities of the modern digital age.
