The Elathur police on Friday (March 21, 2025) took into custody a 26-year-old man having alleged links with drug peddlers following a complaint by his mother. Police sources said the suspect, identified as Rahul, was involved in a series of criminal cases, including sexual assaults on minor children.
His mother contacted the police for help as he threatened to end his life. He had been in prison for around nine months and was suspected of jumping bail.
