Maldivian national treated for serious injuries at Kochi hospital

A Maldivian national, who suffered critical injuries after being reportedly attacked by a barracuda fish during a fishing expedition, was successfully treated at Amrita Hospital, Kochi, according to a communication from the hospital.

The patient, who was given initial treatment at a local hospital, was brought to Kochi for advanced medical treatment. A team of doctors led by Dr. Sajesh Menon and Dr. Dalwin Thomas performed the surgery, the communication said.
