Vice president Kamala Harris narrowly defeated former president Donald Trump in the US territory of Guam but this poll doesn’t count toward the Electoral College. But this raw poll shows the mood and always predicts the popular vote winner rightly which means the candidate who wins the Guam straw poll becomes the winner of the popular vote. According to reports, Harris defeated Trump 49.45% to 46.22%. In 2020, Joe Biden defeated Trump in this poll by 14 per centage points.
Guam is a US island territory in Micronesia in the Western Pacific and not a state and hence it is not eligible to elect members of the Electoral College. Its straw poll results, which have been held every four years since 1980, are non-binding and don’t count towards the Electoral College.
