INDIIMB’s largest placement batch of 595 receives over 650 offers


All 595 students of the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB)‘s Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) and the Post Graduate Programme in Business Analytics (PGP-BA) secured placements in a total of 176 firms. This 2023 – 2025 batch is also the largest placement batch and received a record number of over 650 offers.

Around 41% of the jobs that have been secured are in the management consulting sector. A total of 245 offers came from consulting firms whereas IT software/analytics/product management firms made 80 offers followed by 79 offers by Finance/Banking/Investment firms, 70 offers from Ecommere/Payments/Telecom/Logistics firms, 38 offers from Manufacturing/Construction/Energy/Infrastructure firms, 37 offers from FMCG/Retail firms, 23 offers from Conglomerates and 23 offers from Healthcare/education firms.

The top recruiters were Accenture Strategy (75),Boston Consulting Group (25), TCS Management Consulting (24), American Express (20),Bain & Company (17), PwC (16), McKinsey & Company (14). 

Speaking about the final placements, Nishant Verma, Chairperson of Career Development Services, IIMB, said, “Despite being a challenging year for the job market around the world, IIMB conducted the process very efficiently. We are also glad to share that job offers made during the process have set a new benchmark both in terms of the number of offers made and the diversity of roles across sectors.”

The Student Placement Committee also noted that this was the largest batch among all the IIMs during this placement season. “This placement season witnessed strong participation from both legacy as well as new recruiters, with about 30% being first-time recruiters. We also secured 100+ offers in the Lateral Placement Process (for candidates with more than 18 months of work experience), the highest among the top B-schools in India,” the Committee said.
