‘Cops in more danger’: Trump vows to end ‘Kamala’s crime wave’ – Times of India

World'Cops in more danger': Trump vows to end 'Kamala's crime wave' - Times of India

US former President and Republican nominee for Presidential election Donald Trump on Friday warned the law enforcement officers that they are in “more danger” and “threat than ever before” from ‘Kamala’s crime wave,’ as he touts union endorsement.
Addressing the meeting of the fraternal order of police, Trump said, “We know all about you and the great job that you do and the people of this country respect you greatly for it,” Trump said.“So I just want to thank you on behalf of everybody because I see it,” according to the New York Post.
“Unfortunately, we were talking a little while ago … it’s probably also a profession that’s under more danger and threat than ever before, which we hate to see,” he added.
His statement came as he accepted FPO’s endorsement, which announced earlier that it was choosing Trump as its favored candidate in the 2024 contest. Trump called it an “honor.”
Trump pledged to safeguard qualified immunity to shield officers from lawsuits, support the death penalty for those who kill police officers, and launch a comprehensive crackdown on drug gangs and their leaders. He described the current situation as a “brutal plague of bloodshed, crime, chaos, misery and death upon our land,” which he attributed to Vice President “Kamala Harris and the communist left.”
He also slammed his opponent Kamala labeling her a “defunder” of law enforcement and vowing to end what he called “Kamala’s crime wave” if elected, Fox News reported.
“I promise you, I will never tell you we’re gonna defund the police. I will only tell you that we might overfund the police,” he said.
He also claimed that since Kamala Harris took office, she has presided over a 43% increase in violent crime, including a 58% increase in rape and an 89% increase in aggravated assault. And under Comrade Kamala, assault saw and police officers are up a minimum of 32%. And many of them are not reported. And if they are reported, they’re not taken down.
And shootings of our police officers are up by over 16%. The day I take office is the day that Kamala’s crime wave comes to an end. It’s a crime wave in our country. We’ve never seen anything like it.
