Construction worker falls off building, dies

A 45-year-old worker was killed at a construction site in Saligramam on Saturday.

The police have filed a case. A senior police official said Srinivasan had been working at the site for the past 15 days. On Saturday afternoon, while he was constructing a temporary shed on the first floor of the building, he lost his footing and fell from a height of 22 feet. He suffered a severe head injury, and was rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
