Retired Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer G. Chandrasekhar Reddy was sworn in as State Chief Information Commissioner, Telangana Information Commission, on Friday (May 8, 2025). Governor Jishnu Dev Varma administered oath of office to Mr. Reddy at Darbar Hall, Raj Bhavan in Hyderabad. The latter took charge at 12.05 p.m.
Minister Jupally Krishna Rao, State Legislative Council chairman Gutha Sukhender Reddy, deputy chairman Banda Prakash, State Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Commission chairman Kodanda Reddy, Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao, DGP Jitender, Vigilance commissioner M.G. Gopal, officials from Chief Minister’s Office and others were present at the swearing in ceremony.
According to the orders issued on Monday (May 5, 2025), the State CIC shall hold the office for three years from the date on which he enters upon his office or till he attains the age of sixty five years whichever is earlier.
