WorldBritish Queen Camilla cancels events this week due to chest infection - Times of India

Queen Camilla, wife of Britain’s King Charles, has cancelled her scheduled engagements for the week due to a chest infection, Buckingham Palace announced on Tuesday.
“Her Majesty The Queen is currently unwell with a chest infection, for which her doctors have advised a short period of rest,” the palace spokesman said in a statement.
“With great regret, Her Majesty has therefore had to withdraw from her engagements for this week but she very much hopes to be recovered in time to attend this weekend’s Remembrance events as normal,” he added.
The 77-year-old Queen Camilla was scheduled to attend Thursday’s opening ceremony of the annual Field of Remembrance at Westminster Abbey, which honours the nation’s fallen soldiers.
And she was also set to host a reception at the palace on the same evening for British Olympics and Paralympic athletes.
The royal household disclosed that Birgitte, Duchess of Gloucester, aged 78, would instead take Camilla’s place at the Field of Remembrance ceremony.
According to British media, Camilla was resting at her residence with medical oversight following her return with King Charles III from their visits to Australia and Samoa.
The palace provided no additional information about her health status.
King Charles III, who turned 75, has been undergoing treatment since his cancer diagnosis earlier this year. Recently, Catherine, Princess of Wales and wife of Prince William, shared the news of completing her chemotherapy treatment.
