Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has sparked a wave of criticism over her remarks on climate change, as shared in a recent video posted on social media platform X. In her comments, Greene suggested that human activity is not a significant factor in climate change, asking, “You’re going to tell me that back in the Ice Age, how much tax did people pay? And how many changes did the government make to melt the ice?”
Laura Loomer, a Republican political activist, was quick to respond on X, questioning Greene’s intelligence and qualifications as a member of Congress.”Is there anyone dumber in Congress?” she wrote. “How much taxes? Who talks like that as a sitting member of Congress? Like I said, I can’t see how anyone with common sense takes this woman seriously. She’s a White trash embarrassment to MAGA. Absolute harpy.”
“She deserves to be condemned for her nonstop lies and smears about President Trump’s most loyal supporters. I truly hate her”, Laura added.

In response to Laura’s criticisms, one user defended Greene, saying, “She is a fighter though you gotta give her that.” Laura dismissed this assertion, replying, “No she isn’t. She says one thing and does another.”
Both Greene and Loomer have shown signs of tense relations. Greene once labelled Loomer’s remarks about US vice president Kamala Harris as “extremely racist” and expressed concern about Loomer’s influence on the MAGA movement, as reported by CNN.
The conflict between these two figures highlights a bigger divide among Trump’s supporters about the party’s message as the 2024 elections near.
Loomer often attends events with Trump and stands by her comments, while Greene, who has faced criticism for her past remarks, stressed that Republicans should prioritise policy over identity politics.
