Kamala Harris’ husband wants a strong Republican Party, Scaramucci calls him the ‘best kind of alpha male’ – Times of India

WorldKamala Harris' husband wants a strong Republican Party, Scaramucci calls him the 'best kind of alpha male' - Times of India

Kamala Harris‘ husband Doug Emhoff said the country needs a strong Republican Party to ensure productive debates of policy and the country’s future. The comments came at a podcast hosted by former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci and journalist Katty Kay. Scaramucci was all praises for Doug and called him the best kind of Alpha male.
In the podcast, Doug said it’s not enough to not support Donald Trump, “you’ve got to support Kamala Harris, if you really care about this country and the future.”
Commenting of the endorsement of Kamala Harris from many Republicans including former vice president Dick Cheney, Dough said the country needs a strong Republican party.”We need them to come back so we are having really good debates on policy and ideas and what is the best way to move us forward.”

Doug has been at the centerstage since Kamala Harris became the Democrat nominee for the presidential election. He has been praised as a supportive husband while Scaramucci commended his political depth. “Doug gets it. Electing VP Harris and defeating Trump is not about destroying the Republican party; it’s about saving it. Only once we move past the hateful and divisive extremism Trump has brought can the GOP rediscover and strengthen its core values,” Scaramucci posted.
Doug is a Jewish and if Kamala Harris wins the election, he will be the first Jewish first gentleman of the United States, and he is the first Jewish second gentleman now, a responsibility he said he takes very seriously. He said he doesn’t want to meet the October 7 hostages because it’s too emotional but he’s out there because Kamala keeps pushing him out there. “It’s intense and a lot of times I don’t want to do it. It’s too raw, it’s too emotional for me. Kamala is the one who keeps pushing me out there because the responsibility that I have in this role, and because she cares about these issues, she is out there fighting these issues just like, just like I am,” Doug said.
‘Doug is irrelevant’
The Trump campaign dismissed Doug’s comment on the Republican party and said he is as irrelevant as a wet paper bag. Trump spokesperson Steven Cheung told Newsweek, “Nobody cares what Doug has to say. He’s as irrelevant as a wet paper bag.”
