Temple accountant attacked with acid by unidentified assailant

“An unidentified assailant allegedly attacked the accountant of Pedda Thota Bhu Lakshmi Temple in Saidabad with acid on Wednesday (March 12, 2025),” police said.

The victim, Narsingarao, who works as the temple’s accountant, was on the premises when an unknown person threw acid on him at around 8:30 p.m. before fleeing from the scene, said the Saidabad Police. Local residents immediately alerted the authorities, and he was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The police have launched an investigation and are reviewing CCTV footage from the area to identify the suspect. Preliminary inquiries are under way to establish the motive behind the attack. Police assured that efforts were being intensified to track down the accused.
