A 14-year-old boy, who had gone missing last week, was found dead in an open well near Nandambakkam on Wednesday (March 12, 2025).
The police said N. Paramasivams a Class 9 student of a government school on Anna Main Road in K.K. Nagar and that he resided on Pachaiyappan 2nd Street, Jafferkhandpet. Paramasivam informed his father that he was going out to a nearby shop in the locality on March 8, 2025, but did not return. His father contacted his relatives in Cuddalore, hoping that Paramasivam could have gone there.
As the boy could not be traced, the father lodged a missing persons complaint at M.G.R. Nagar police station.
On Wednesday, the Nandambakkam police were alerted about a body found in an open well belonging to the Defence department, near the Pandimuneeswarar temple in Nandambakkam. A police team, along with fire and rescue services personnel, arrived at the spot and found that the body was Paramasivam’s.
The MGR Nagar police sent the body to the K.K. Nagar ESI Hospital for post-mortem examination.
