The Bengaluru police registered a total of 40 cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and arrested 55 peddlers, including five foreign nationals in February this year.
According to the police, among the seized drugs were a total of 130.8 kilos of marijuana, 17 grams of heroin, 2.8 kilos of opium, 429 grams of hashish oil and 1.4 kilos of MDMA.
The police have intensified the crackdown on drug peddlers, and efforts are on to seal the source of drug supply, officials said.
